Counselling doesn't need to be awkward or shameful......
And yet these feelings seem to be the most commonly evoked ones surrounding counselling and therapy.
Why is it that when we hurt our physical selves we can openly seek help but should our pain be something we carry emotionally we seem to be embarrassed to ask for help or even admit there is a problem.
How can that be when we all get bashed around in life and collect scars from our journey. Some of us have bigger scars than others but we all carry the pain and the joy of our experiences. Surely there is no shame in that?
A brave exploration......
I offer a safe space to explore experiences, problems and difficulties that may be effecting you in your day-to-day life. My hope is that in your brave exploration you may discover a new, more creative way of being in the world.
I have experience in a wide variety of issues including anxiety, loss, feelings of anger and sadness, depression, self harm, addiction and stress amongst others.
My practice is based close to Clapham, Balham, Tooting & Streatham with easy links to London Underground, rail stations, buses and parking.
It can feel lonely when carrying the weight of painful past experiences, sometimes we do not even realise this is the weight that keeps us down. Counselling can be a way
to relieve the burden and leave a lighter foot print behind you
